GlacialLight, a division of the Taiwanese technology manufacturer GlacialTech Inc, has announced that its LED lighting products have been recently used to redecorate the indoor facilities of the Dongshan Expressway Service Area in Southern Taiwan.

Compared to the traditional lighting used in the service area earlier, the new GlacialLight LED lights reduce about 80 per cent of power consumption, which has helped to make the service area significantly more environmentally friendly, a release from GlacialLight said.

The service area and its adjacent bus station cover an area of approximately 40 ha. The service station offers rest to thousands of people everyday, many of whom visit the extensive interior facilities. These facilities range from an information desk and tourist lounge to several major retailers and restaurants. All of these public spaces have GlacialLight LED lighting installed in them.
