Elecrama 2012 to attract over 130 countries

Untitled - 2.jpg to be held during 18-22 January 2012 in Mumbai. At the curtain raiser to the event held in the capital recently by IEEMA, the event organizers, it was also estimated that Elecrama 2012 would attract over 1,10,000 footfalls.

Power Secretary P. Uma Shankar, the chief guest of the occasion, said that Elecrama is the largest confluence of stakeholders in the electricity sector and is being supported by the power ministry as done in previous editions. The secretary stated that the capabilities of the industry are growing and it is very important for the industry to showcase these capabilities. With worthwhile exchange of knowledge and info he wished the event all success.

Speaking on the occasion Ms Indira Prem Menon, Chairperson, Elecrama, informed that the coming exhibition cum conference is expected to surpass the previous events. She stated that the 10th edition of Elecrama introduces “India's Power Factor,” which is genuinely innovative, cost conscious, and is the right technology at the right place at the right cost. She informed that 200 transformer manufacturers, 300 global conductor manufacturers and 200 controls and system manufacturers and 41 delegations from 130 countries would be participating at the event.

Menon further informed that special tutorials will be held in coordination with Indian chapter of CIGRE on topics like HVDC transmission lines, AC and DC insulated cable system, overhead lines and substations. These tutorials are valuable knowledge sharing sessions which introduce the latest practices in power T&D technology, she said.
