Diamond Power
Infrastructure Ltd has
received orders aggregating
Rs.48.3 crore for supplying of 108
power transformers, from diverse
customers. The orders shall
translate into revenues within the
next three months, the Vadodara based
company said in a statement.
The company has augmented its
capacities and capability to offer a
vast range of power transformers up
to 315 MVA and 220kV. The
company gets its transformers type
tested (on client's request) with the
CPRI (Central Power Research
Institute) centres in Bangalore or
Bhopal, the statement noted. DPIL
makes transformers through its
subsidiary Diamond Power
Transformers Ltd, formerly known
as Western Transformers.
EHV Cables: In a related
development, DPIL also received
its first order for extra high voltage
cables, totaling a length of 35 km
across various ratings like 66kV,
132kV and 220kV. DPIL in June
2011 a modern EHV cables plant in
June 2011 at Vadodara at a cost of
Rs.85 crore with support from
Malliefer, France. The plant has a
capacity to produce EHV cables up
to 500kV, making Diamond Power
among the only seven
manufacturers in the world to
have such range of extra highvoltage
cables. DPIL displayed its
500kV EHV cables at Elecrama
2012, Mumbai.
